QHSE & Compliance Advisor

The role of QHSE & Compliance Advisor is a critical role, which require involvement in different parts of the organization. The advisor is taking a pro-active role in ensuring the Quality (Q) of our deliverables. He or she evaluates the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) impacts and risks of our projects, for our volunteers but also for the end-users. In addition, he is involved in ensuring the compliance with legislation, our code of conduct and other internal legal documents.

Your activities

The specific responsibilities of the QHSE & Compliance advisor are the following:

  • Keeping the safety procedures and documents up to date, and ensure compliance with these
  • Ensuring the learning of unsafe situations, near-misses and incidents
  • Ensuring the quality of the project risk assessments and HSE plans
  • Manage liability, insurance(s), quality and general compliance
  • Advise volunteers before and during the travel abroad
  • Ensuring legal compliance
  • Ensuring and registering that code of conduct has been signed by all active engineers

With the long-lasting pandemic which is impacting field travel, you have a room for crafting how projects are undertaken. You are welcome to work out of our office space in CIC Rotterdam or remote.

What we would love for you to bring to the table

The specific requirements for the applicant are the following:

  • Experience in HSE and compliance
  • Ability to stand up in case HSE risks seem to become intolerable
  • Experience doing projects in developing countries is preferred
