We are looking for volunteering to support us in both our projects and the legal matters related to our organisaton in general. Being an organization consisting of mainly engineering expertise, we currently would like to reinforce our team with an expert in the legal field.

As a legal adviser you will support our project teams on legal matters. This role involves reviewing the terms and conditions (T&C) for agreements between EWB and sponsors and local partners, and identifying their legal risks for EWB.  In some cases it will be required to discuss with the sponsors and local partners, and agree on required modifications. Your counterparts will vary from our multinational sponsors to our very small local partners; this variation will ensure a challenging environment.

In addition the board of EWB NL will require legal support, with respect to the matters related to running an ANBI status organization in a general sense.

Main Activities

  • Evaluate project related terms and conditions with sponsors and local partners
  • Being able to identify risks in legal documents for our organisation and be able to have a constructive discussion on those risks with our board, sponsors and local partners
  • Advise the board on legal matters in general and specifically related to the status of EWB as an ANBI-organisation  

Applicant Requirements

  • Experience in understanding and evaluating legal documents, preferably with knowledge of civil law and international law
  • Good communication skills and understanding of team dynamics, able to communicate with engineers and non-engineers
  • Experience in the legal challenges related to an ANBI organization is a pre
  • Flexible and pro-active to work in a young and dynamic team
