In EWB-NL we believe that improving the access to clean, reliable and affordable energy can help not only to tackle climate change, but it is also the key to alleviate poverty and improve living conditions in marginalized and developing communities.

During our project experiences in these communities, such as in Togo with our project Pico Power (https://www.ewbnl.org/picopower/) and in Indonesia (https://www.ewbnl.org/ilijan-buildup/), we realized that the shift towards renewable energy can grant more inclusive and green future to these emerging economies. 

Are you working in the field of clean energy? Or do you firmly support the UN SDG #7 Affordable and Clean Energy?

We’re looking for energy experts, organizers, connectors and activists who’d like to play a role in the organization of the EWB-NL Energy Summit 2021. 

The Summit

Every two years, EWB-NL organizes knowledge sharing summits to bring together representatives from various organizations and share ideas and best practices in the Engineering fields related to our strategic portfolios.

In 2021, we want to invite you to discuss together about Energy and about how we can all contribute to the UN SDG #7 on Affordable and Clean Energy.

Our Summits are half-day events including key notes speakers, case study presentations, and workshops. Our “the Future of drinking water summit”  gathered 60 participants, an effective mixture of experts, professionals, volunteers, and students. https://www.ewbnl.org/ewb-the-future-of-water-summit-2020/ 

The team

The organization of the Summit is coordinated by EWB-NL Event Team in collaboration with the Project Portfolio Energy and our key partners.

The ambition of our Team is to enhance wider community engagement and commitment through inspirational and educational events.  

Profile

Responsibilities and expectations:

  • You collaborate with our partners and with our Energy Portfolio (in collaboration with the Partnership Team);
  • You find new partners and stakeholders willing to participate to the event (in collaboration with the Partnership Team); 
  • You support the event planning, strategy and development together with partners and experts;
  • You take care of communication, organization and promotion of the event from its conception to the final delivery (in collaboration with the Communication Team);
  • You find suitable locations for the organization of the challenge;
  • You are available 4h/per week to the organization of the event (with possible peakwork moments just before the event) and to meet at least once every 2 weeks in person in Rotterdam.
